Hiya after a fun 3 hours getting to and from a job interview today, due to the rad repeatedly ****ing the contents of the cooling system all over the engine bay and road, it's time to get a new radiator, but... is the 2.6 petrol rad the same as the 2.25? The manual doesn't give different...

there's loads of info on the series 2 forum about tdi conversions 200Tdi conversions 300Tdi conversions I've been looking a lot, the gas conversion is OK, but my 6 pot is wearing out and diesel is going to have to happen soon :D

is there a 6 pot issue to do with prop shaft lengths, due to the motor being longer / mounts being in different places? looking at doing this conversion, and didn't realise the bell housing was different too, so will need that as well then.... maybe I'll sort the 6 pot out and keep that as...

nope, I was simply asking a reasonable question about the capabilities of a vehicle I've never owned before. most people seem to have realised that and were helpful.

sorted, cost me a bit because of cancelling the one policy and taking out another, but I got them to waive some of the fees - including the big £50 cancellation fee. thanks for the advice

I checked with the heritage centre using the chassis number and it was originally a 2.6 109 basic, so that all looks OK, and i put it into the site at http://www.clifton.nl/index.html?calvin.html and got 941 Model: Land Rover, Series III Body type: Basic Wheel base: 109in Engine: 6-cylinder...

Lancaster are completely OK with it (Delta cherished car policy), but Chaucer (through swinton) have now said they won't cover it due to the modifications - after I paid, and I clearly stated it was a now 3 door station wagon! Looks like a big hassle now to get my money back :(

Hiya I'm having a bit of an issue with the insurance on my s3 109. It's got rear folding seats, and full windows - see pic the insurance company is saying that I need to give them the dates of the modifications - and whether it was professionally done the seats are stock landrover - could...

All I've got to do now is sell my old civic and my kit car, 3 vehicles and an average mileage of less than 3k is probably a bit daft!

That's cleared that up then! I'll call the insurance and get them to change it, along with all the other mistakes they made on the forms... I'm on gas, and don't do a lot of miles, so not too worried about the mpg, the noise I can live with too, but will look into an overdrive for a bit more...
