Slight correction, I cut off the wiper arm adaptors first.

They looked normal when I took them out, just undid the nut and pulled the cable out. They were quite tight and difficult to get out but I didn’t take much notice as I had no reason to think they might be the wrong ones. Not sure how far through the hole they were or how the guy who rebuilt it...

The ones I removed are the same as the older type in the link

I’ve been replacing the wiper boxes on my 1992 Defender. Both new and old wheel boxes have a circular shaft, but the hole in the bulkhead is flat top & bottom (see photo), which stops the shaft going through. The shaft on the later td5 boxes is flat top & bottom. Since the bulkhead was replaced...

Not if it’s breaking up internally, I was getting swarf on the solenoid all the time.

I used Diesel Bob in 2016 fir a refurb of my 200tdi pump, excellent service and very helpful with advice on refitting.

I just stick a pair of 100w lamps on the bumper... far brighter than series 3 wing lights!

67/8 if I remember correctly. Plenty of earlier ones had lights added to the wings for better visibility

Sounds like the problem lies with the local fitter, they might have even the same if you’d bought direct from them.
