Do calipers usually come with the carrier and guide pins (STC1907)?

Thanks chaps. I don't want to dismantle everything once for inspection and once for the job so looking to get everything I might need in one hit... New rotors (with set screws) and pads for sure... Q1: Buy carriers & fitting bolts with guide pins in situ or hope the bore in the carrier...

D/S Rear Brake has started squealing. Pad doesn't seem to be pressing evenly on the disc... see piccies one without arrow is passenger side for comparison. What's the usual cause of that?

My P38 is 2000(W) with a YA43xxxx chassis number. Need to replace my oil sump drain plug and washer but various sites quote conflicting year ranges, chassis number ranges and part numbers... e.g they say 1995 - 2002 but quote only up to VIN WA410481 with part numbers UAM2857L and UAM2957L...

Thanks Wammers! :tea: I assume the circuit board isn't available as a separate part? Should I: 1) mask and paint the ribbon cable with conducting paint (which I've got)? 2) copy the botch? 3) Buy a new wheel of unknown provenance for £40? 4) None of the above!

I'm replacing my rotary coupler but the old one has some odd wiring. It looks like the circuit board is damaged and someone seems to have bypassed the problem by splicing red wire into the green and red wire the joined it to the metal case... anyone seen this trick before? WTF? :violent:

Cracked it (literally). I used a pry bar and some carpet tile to protect the alternator bracket on the easy side and it grudgingly moved (not bothered about damaging the alternator, I have a brand new one). Shoved the pry bar down underneath to stop the alternator pivoting on the bolt at the...

I disconnected mine ... my radio never seems to ask for a code and a few window/roof resets is no real hassle.

Can't knock it through because the oil filler is it the way... and the hole at the back of the bracket is small - threaded for the original bolt I guess. Tried prying at that collar sandwiched between the bracket and the alternator but can't get any purchase... with that collar trapped like...

I can't find an all metal idler wheel though Island have one like the broken one in your pictures and one with a metal drum in the centre surrounded by a plastic or maybe rubber doughnut... is this the right one? Link to it here if that's allowed... Britpart Idler Also can anyone on here...

One answer is to use an angle grinder to make flats on the wheel nut then clamp it in a vice and back it out of the socket with the breaker bar- remembering it's a reverse thread. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

New pump from Emmotts already on and working. Blew through three fuses within a minute of startup on the old pump, Disconnecting the EAS pump stopped them blowing. Fuse intact with the new one. Is there a How To anywhere on dismantling the pump - tried Google but I just get lots of gasket kits.
