Had the aspirator fan pack up on my P38 use to get same thing happen heater going cold, had take it out try and get some lube into it.

Even with rear temperature dial on max heat ?

That button on my 08 switches the rear fan on or off, button needs to be lite up for rear heating to work.

Forgot to add high level brake light is led need to remove top spoiler to get to it easy job open top tail gate 3 ten mm nuts slide spoiler towards you then check 12 volts at connecting if ok then new light needed.

Nut about 8mm I think but thin guess normal one would do.

I did this many years ago on my 89 RR , I used engine and box out of a discovery as the box input shaft is different on the VM think defender turbo is in different place to the disco and had to make and weld on new engine to chassis mounts.

Could very well be the box has died, your best bet I think would be a good second hand box if you can find one at a good price, just my thoughts on it.

Not a golf but did quite a few astra when it was all rage to nick them, just tap them round half a turn with hammer and center punch and they would turn out by hand, might be worth a go.

Should be a permanent live in 12s or 13 pin socket if you have one, might just be blown fuse if not there.

That head unit is maybe the best option for upgrading as no DSP (I think) so should be fairly easy to change to whatever you want to fit, have a wander over to fullfatrr forum there will know doubt be some post's on there about it.

Mixing certain different colour anti freeze can and will make it go like jelly the problem is getting it drain out again, in my experience it won't damage the rad had to deal with somebody car while ago that had done this.
