If you got the right brake cylinder, pistons can't spread too far. I actually managed to order wrong drums from autodoc. Check the lever where the cable is attached inside the drums. It's prone to seize, mine was absolutely solid when I bought the car.

New tyres came for 18" Sport wheels. Falken Wildpeak A/T3WA 235/55R18.

It's just enough that it clears the oil dripping down. Was like that when I got the car but really handy.

Sounds like progress! Sounds typical LR fight, with rounded bolts and stuff. When you have done all the typical maintenance tasks once, it gets easy. I have a cut out under the sump in my undertray for easy engine oil change.

How is the cabin filter, have you checked it also?

Mine has 6mm bolts too but the plastic cup where they sit is so tight that some sockets doesn't fit there. Try to find a socket with thin walls. When changing the pollen filter I also vacuum the air box to get all the dust and crap out.

For real winter conditions I'm using 16" wheels with studded Nordic winter tyres, so that's covered.

Looks like we are seeing the first hint of winter here next week - changed from 18" Sport summer wheels to 16" winter wheels with studded winter tyres.

Good picture there. Any taller tyre size means you should use something like 30 mm spacer to get enough clearance.

Took the car on wheels and drove it carefully on my yard. Breaks are very poor, car will eventually stop but wouldn't drive on public roads. So back to bleeding then.
