I know what you mean, its very confusing, but no, if your towing vehicle is 3500kg you can't tow anything, the Absolute Maximum train weight (total combined MAM towing vehicle and trailer) on a post 97 licence Is 3500kg, if you wanted to tow with a sprinter you'd have to do the test.

I think the thing to remember Is IFW sell trailers and arnt the ones who get pulled ;)
