I don't see why it should effect towing, a Discovery pulls the same weight as a Defender after all. With a remap and the transfer box install, our 110 with car + trailer on the back would still leave other cars standing :D Longevity shouldn't be effected unless you have a lead foot. The engine...

No it isn't. Some of what he says is right though. Reprogramming the ECU will give you better torque and power figures. Around 170bhp and 275lb/ft off the top of my head for a stage 1 remap (feel free to correct me if i'm wrong). Putting a Discovery transfer box in will increase your gearing...

Oh, don't forget a remap ;) Tranforms the things totally. We went for JE Engineering stage 1 and a disco transfer box in ours ;)

Its a 2.8TDI Isuzu lump, the higher output version at that ;) Transmission is the standard LT95.

I use it around town :D Its not actually that much bigger than a disco, the turning circle is better too!

Will make another video once its all plumbed in properly and ready to go. Luckily there has been very little modification needed! The microphone from my phone does the sound no justice at all, it is loud! :D

didn't know where else to put this really, but thought I'd share my joy that the thing now runs! The turbo wasn't connected to the inlet, the fuel lines were bleeding through and the glow plugs didn't have any power to them, but it started :D 2.8TDI Land Rover 101 First Start - YouTube
