By changing engine type will it loose its historic status?

Can you check the cam timing for a slipped belt? If you have an oscilloscope on the battery you can check for a rough evenness of the compression of the cylinders.

Is it genuine mileage?? I would say go with the feeling. Does it sound ok? Do you think it's had regular oil changes? A car half the mileage can give issues so if the price is right then I'd give it a go.

If it's the one with sat nav, there's a CD changer under the seat and an amp in the boot, under the flap in the floor. Iso connectors fairly standard, it's if you want to use the original amp it would need the extra signal to turn it on.

Yes there are two sizes, I know as I have two of the earlier ones rattling around the boot bought in error!

Are the wheel nuts all tight? Are you sure its from the front? Is it the diff mounting (center one goes first normally)

Is that the only reason you're changing the clutch or is it slipping?

If the p1602 is also a comms fault then could be bad connection on can bus. Immobaliser control is under the dash, drivers side. Water ingress can be an issue. Any water in car or condensation build up?

Is it auto? If manual then ignore the P1643 as there isnt a TCM on a manual fl1

Check you're getting power to the starter first on the thinner wire. Just be aware starter may turn over so not in gear!

I think all td4 clutches are the same. I'm seeing Borg and beck clutches with slave around 100 UK pounds, don't know how much delivery would be. I would consider changing the master cylinder too just in case any debris in the system.
