its has advantages, which you all probably know, a very simple one is that on a standard disco if you go in a water/mud hole, you'll be pushing mud with your front bumper, increasing the chance of getting stuck.... if it's lifted...the only resistance you'll have is from the diffs, all the rest...

Are britpart really that bad? What make are good but not over expensive for dampers/springs? cheers (again) :rolleyes:

My freind has a td5, he had this same problem, turns out it was overboost! his wastegate was stuck closed. I'm not up to scratch on the disco (or any other diesel) turbo control system, but have a good look at the vac hoses on the system, also check you wastegate actuator is not split, pull...

I had a zu zu trooper swb 3.1 for a few years that was somewhat (dare I say) better than the disco in standard form offroad, but I joined the darkside due to zu zu mods and parts being silly prices and like hens teeth in the uk. So back to the original question please anyone? tut! ;)
