Check the rust spots Inner front and rear arches, sills & boot floor If these are ok you shouldnt go far wrong Also check if its due a cambelt, and a good service probably wont hurt it

Sounds like its for a TD5 or something else I had a 300 and got a bull bar, it just bolted straight on, perfectly E bay it back out and get a 300 one
