What a load of rubbish. The poster didn't even say if he had a petrol or diesel so how can you comment?? And if it's the petrol V8 then the rad DOES have something to do with the gearbox because the cooler bolts on to the bottom of the rad. If the original poster could let us know what fixed...

there are plenty of videos on youtube showing how to check and service your transmission. I have not done it before but it looks a piece of cake.
