thank you phil. i dont suspect carb leak because i dont smell any petrol at the engine area am i right or should i refurb the carb too? I wish it's not the problem cos' it's a solex and i dont know how to handle it...

while checking the pipes carb and lift pump saw that the pump is covered with oil.... i will re check while servicing the oil type air filter, 'cos its a hard work to remove the pump when the filter is on the way... I think i can remove it but i don't know if there are any tricks to refit...

thanks phil I will give it a try, i am curious what does the S3 do to the petrol i left in the fuel lines at night:) did some more search and found things about the diaphram of the fuel pump on the net

my carb is a solex... i don't know if it's suitable... i was using the throttle instead of choke some step dancing on the pedal but it didn't work... while switching from lpg to petrol i do full throttle for a few seconds and it first stalls and starts again with the movement

choke? is that the thing you pull for rich mixture? i don't have it it feels like no fuel is going to the engine it starts at first attempt on lpg isnt it weird?

Guys, my 2.25 petrol&lpg series 3 starts on lpg at first attempt. But if i try to start it for the first time a day on petrol it doesn't start. Even if i leave it on petrol from the night it doesn't start on petrol I can switch between petrol and lpg but i can't start on petrol... any idea?

75 mph??? at full throttle.... it must be 35 gpm you need heavy duty balls, silicon sealant to ears and arse:)

Mine left FWH is leaking oil from the selector... Is that an easy fix? do you need photos or is this explanation enough?

I have solex on mine Starts the motor at first attempt each time on lpg Also when i switch to unleaded juice:) it also starts at the first attempt And goes pretty well But if i try to start on fuel for the first time it does not start I think the carb is ok but i have a fuel sending issue

i think i should have changed all the seals at once... do i need any special tools? is it easy to DIY? Thanks a lot...

I know this is an old thread but nowadays i have the same problem. And i didn't want to cause thread mess by starting new threads about old matters... My rear wheel used to leak and i made a paper gasket for the middle cap and the problem had been solved. This time oil coming out of the FW...

42 quid is too much for that plastic (plus postage) i should better search salvage parts or learn to live without it :D
