Very interesting read this thread .I have two replacement bars for mine ready for when ACE pipes go ( rear bar non ACE but with air sus & front standard non ACE, I have the V8 non ACE but with Air Con Belt too) My ACE is still OK atm but pipes are corroded.I have been in touch with JCB repair...

Go for it. Mine was fitted with LPG in Jan 2001 & has now done 108k on LPG no probs. And LPG doesn,t burn hotter.

They will only fit a Disco 1

Best advice I can give is get in touch with Tinley Teck who specialise in LPG conversions. They are very helpful & have plenty experience with all types of vehicles. off my head I cant think of their phone no. as Im at work atm but you could google it

If you have Air Sus its a different rear anti roll bar. Fronts are the same Just letting you know incase you locate any

Yes they should have a bleed screw if its a Mk2 V8 Disco (Td5 shape)

I took the wording from Go LPG Research - VSR. Its one of many sites who do testing. Mine has done 105K on LPG & no problems. I also found it runs better with Bosch plugs

LPG has only 85% of the calorific value of the same amount of petrol, so it is impossible for it to create more heat. It can only make 85% as much.

As above but also make sure the caliper is sliding freely. If only the piston side of the caliper is working then it has the effect of putting extreme pressure to that side of the disc causing shudder

Funny thing is that it would have passed an MOT before it came apart yet your link with split boots wouldn't have. Wheres the sense in that? If I were you I would get on to trading standards to report the crap part. How could anyone justify selling **** like that?

I always use Cunifer (Copper, Nickel, iron - Cu Ni Fe ) But you need a very good flaring tool for it.

It should have a washer & circlip on it. Mine is missing too but even thoughi I can easily lift it off it has never come off itself Try mushrooming the head of the lug slightky with a hammer it may stop yours jumping off
