So I found the post after I wrote this one, obviously! It was on a different forum (one I’m not a member of). It seems they used defender ones too the same as you @minecab , but they didn’t grind off the lip. Sod’s law I’ve brought the s3 ones...doh!

am I right in thinking that I read on the forum, somewhere, that you can fit s3 one piece door seals to a s2a. Or have I just wasted my money... I’ve searched google and the forum,but no joy finding the post. Have I dreamt it all up haha

Is it the one on the upper part of the cat flap, or the actual tailgate? I know the lower one is part number 303975.

I’ve tried it in many varying ways and it always pushes the tailgate out a bit. But it is a new seal...and Brit part! But atleast it’s tight I guess. I agree with you Steve, it’s just the rivets the other side that threw me a bit. Not the normal rivets I use haha.

Thanks for the replies. The seal I have is as pictured, and I can’t really work out where it’s supposed to go haha.

I ordered the rubber, thanks to the help on this thread. But I didn’t look at the rivet things they use until I came to fit it. 78321 are the ones I’m supposed to use, but they look very different to normal rivets. Do I need a specific tool to got them, is there a knack/trade secret at all...

Hi all I have a 3.5 V8 in my series, currently on the hunt for the correct power steering pump. Are there many variations? How can I work out which one is the right one? I believe my engine is from a ?71 Swiss RRC. Many thanks.
