ye i did give it some abuse this time. would the suspension lift make this worse? i'll get the bits ordered asap. how long would u expect changing just these take?

is the round bit off metal (the washer type of thing) not part of the arm and its come apart?

all insurance companys have to give u 14 days to change ur mind by law. all u do is pay for the time on cover plus an admin fee (usually £25). im sure u wont have a problem as long as its a one off and not happening regularly

bolts do sometimes snap for no reason. a mate of mine had his brake caliper bolts sheer off the other day on his motorbike, no reason for it at all

do i clean outside the starter or take off n clean inside? no didnt have a plug in, been meaning to get one. its the lever itself thats stiff not just engaging gear. clutch is also making a slight noise wen its pushed in. how wud i go about cleaning it if it is that? cheers

hi all. since taking the 200tdi offroad been having few problems. the latest one is that the starter motor isnt turning the engine straight away and just spinning. after a couple of tries it kicks in with a little crunch. gearbox is also a little stiff. have changed the oils. was fine...

is it safe to use a wheel instead of a ramp? will it take the weight of a disco without damaging wheel/tire? i'v done this before but not with this much weight. could do with doing it now if someone can confirm if it works

so theres the two axels, transfer, and main gearbox. 4 in total that should be extended? and possibly fuel tank breather if going really deep? then the two removable plugs in flywheel and timing cover? is that everthing covered? sorry a lot of questions but just a summery of wots been said...

i got told stick on ones were now illegal by a plate shop. found somewhere in the end does them tho. for show use or offroad then anything can be used so there willl be places

i just took my disco 'swimming' on sun just gone. bonnets about 5.5inch higher than standard. the wave was most the way up the windscreen and up the side windows. about a foot deep inside the car too, and leaking out the heater and radio - all electrics still work tho. only got snorkle on but...

im hgv driver for asda so get a discount in store. the veg oil only costing 75p a litre for me :)

i'v disconected the fuel pump wire on my 200tdi disco before. only takes a sec, and am guessing it'd stop quite a few of the theives. dunno if u can do it on ur motor tho
