    performance air filter td4

I fitted a Britpart one initially, but when I bought my full face intercooler from Allisport, they supplied a Pipercross filter to use, no problems with either, a bit more low down torque, possibly better fuel consumption but being an auto, not much.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Washed ours today & wife hoovered it and cleaned the plastics in the cabin. Checked front tyres after being on ramp yesterday, hoping they had more tread left, need a pair soon (Recently fitted two on rear)

What have you done to your Freelander today

Replaced porpshaft bearings, and the front mount on rear diff, was clunking on accelaration. Knew what needed doing but took a while to get a ramp at my mates garage.

    It's happened again! Not starting

TD4 most likely to be fuel pump failure

    cruise control retrofit

From reading a lot about this on various forums, I don't think it works on manual Freelander without microswitches on clutch & brake pedals plus gearchange.

    cruise control retrofit

Hi Gary I recently got the ecu to complete mine, 2004 TD4 HSE Auto, SCB100211 was the only 2nd hand one I could get from Roverrugby breakers, was used so no programming required (Land Rover Testbook I believe as new ECU's are not programmed) I bought the switches for steering wheel & master...

    Wheel Hub / Bearing

Good advice I recently replaced a rear wheel bearing on my 2004 TD4 HSE Freelander, a reasonably big job but bolts not seized, even the brake bleed screw was easy to open after refitting the complete hub. I was lucky enough to have mine at my mates garage on 2 post ramp & all the tools...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Nothing as my wife is a home carer and she's still out working, she uses Freelander, I was away to work early doors. Recently finished fitting cruise control ECU to get the system working, great addition. Fllled up with fuel last night, almost £85  !! and added 200 ml of 2 stroke oil...

    Cruise Control problems

How old is your Freelander, and is it manual or auto. Newer facelifted ones are on can-bus and have an ECU under the drivers seat. Did the cruise control work before, and have you checked fused & relay feeding the system.

    cruise control

Just fitted to my 54 plare TD4 auto, got switches from John Craddocks, ECU from Rugbyrover breakers, second hand SCB100211 (SCB100212 is newer ECU, both work) but if you get used ECU, no programming required, plug and play. I wish I'd done it ages ago but took time to find the ECU.

Good News my TD4 made the 2600m Europe trip towing my caravan!

I went to Aberdeen and back today (About 45 mile round trip) and used newly fitted cruise control most of the way )! and mine has only ever had one fault (Fuel pump failure) and is a great vehicle. P.S No idea about fuel consumption but got 33.5 mpg average to last tank, using 200ml of 2 stroke...

Well, finally, received the SCB100211 ECU yesterday, plugged in and guess what .......... IT WORKS !!!! Flick on SET in steering wheel, then raise + and speed increases by 1mph increments unless held on, raises until switch let go. Dab brakes, cruise drops...

    TD4 Fitting cruise control

Mine still awaiting the ECU, had a message from a Roverrugby breaker yesterday, they have ECU's, and mine is the facelifted model auto, works via canbus apparently.

    TD4 Fitting cruise control

Update Still trying to find a used SCB100212, or 100211 for that matter. Looks like no-one has any, tried Fleabay and heaps of breakers. Only one I can see in a new SCB100201 at a Rover club for Rover 75, not wanting to pay £70 plus delivery for this. Anyone have one in their shed or know of...

    TD4 Fitting cruise control

lAs we're now on holiday, I had a proper look and located the muti pin socket and wiring under the seat. Any ideas where to find a relay to make the system work (I'm aware I'll need testbook to enable ECU) but need to get this sorted out soon, as hed fitted the switches a while ago. We're away...

Hi Dorset G I have not gone any further as been too busy to look at what's required but on another forum, I was advised that another ECU plus switches for pedals & gearstick were required and were very expensive, can anyone confirm, 54 plate TD4 auto.
