Yeah im in pm, I think its the hub that Ive got, the guy said it was bolt off bolt on, goes onto the drive shaft, theres a bearing inside i presume casue it turns? Is the servicing place still open round by strikers? I know stratsone have only sell Jags now in Wolves?

Cheers Mick, I will try them tomorrow, the battery was Ok yesterday as I drove it back from Solihull. Tried the key in ignition and it says press remote or imput code. Fingers crossed for a good outdome tomorrow. Not a great start to my p38 experience. Jase

Thanks. The keys had new batteries in today and was sending a signal on open and close but is now only sending a signal on close. Maybe a faulty key too? I'll try my luck with landrover tomorrow.

Just another quick question, when i get the code, i presume its turning the key in the door? If the lock actuator is broke will it turn off the immobiliser and still keep me locked out of the car? How do I get the door open if thats the case? Here was me thinking I had a bargain! Lol

I think theres a problem with the locking mechanism in the door as well as the fob. The guy I brought it off said he always left i open as it didnt lock so after getting home with it I pressed the button and it did so I thought great until I tried to open it again. Looks like the RAC guy hasnt...

The fob was lighting but now isnt on the open and is intermittent on the close button. I dont have the ECA and the books and paperwork are locked in the car. The only thing I have is the green slip and this key thats not working
