hey there, i just bought a landrover defender 110 its a 1999 tdi with 95k kms, the car was sitting for almost 2 years, i had to go and pick it up from a yard, put in a new battery and turned several times but nothing, bled air from system and it started..smokey and loud eventually but absolutely...

PS- there is no power loss, its a flier!! also what is the fuel consumption on these 300tdi defenders like?

the landy is a beauty! i am loving every bit of it. i need to get it serviced completely, as a precaution i want to change all the belts which seem fatigued and also the timing belt. there is a clanking noise when the engine is running i dont know what this is.. it sounds as if something is open...
