ive found gearbox plug, when i unscrewed it quite alot of oil come out, ive just took it out for another drive and gearbox fine now, must of been overfilled if thats possible

when driving its hard to get into second gear, and sometimes when changing gears it clunks, when stationary you can select all gears, but you can hear a clicking noise, any ideas what problem might be? i havent checked gearbox oil as cant find the plug?? oh and its 2.5td 90 cheers

i cant find my filler plug on my main gearbox, ive got g reg 2.5 td 90, im a newbie to defenders so yas can laugh at my expense lol ive got haynes manual but its no use, oh and gearbos full of ****e so cant make anything out cheers

i had same problem had my shadrack for a week, when i bought it had been stood for 9 months. when i got it home same thing happend, and yes i did brown stain my undies and go through a few tissues thinkin it was gearbox, i slacked off handbrake cable drove round few miles, tightened it back up...
