Am I right to think that the lift pump works if its sucking on my finger ? If its something as simple as a filter I'll be a happy bunny :rolleyes: So the lift pump sucks from the filter and feeds the diesel pump ? I thought it sucked from the tank and feeded the filter :confused:

Thanks :-) I removed the lift pump because it wouldnt stiff up while i was working it . It had some diesel inside, but not ptessurized... Working it outside the engine though seems to suck on my finger firmly and squirts whatever diesel there was inside it. Any thoughts ? Also put 2 good...

Question guys. Someone said that i should hear a pump working when i turned the ignition on, coming from the back... I dont hear anything. Unless it works only for a couple of seconds, not giving me time to turn the ignition and run back to the tank.... How do I check if the lift pump works ...

All about customizing your own car myself. Engine swapping could occur for a number of reasons. For example, if you have a 2.5 which you care for and its mint apart from the engine, and you happen to come across a rotten v8 with a good strong engine , why the hell not ?
