:lol: Rats are long gone mate, they ate up most of the junk that were stored in the car, chocolate bar remains, boxes with plastic files and cables, and thanfully they didnt chew into the wiring of the car. I found the last one a long time ago (about a month after I brought the car home)...

Timing belts changed as well as tensioners and engine belts. Car now needs a front bumper , handbrake cables, new front brake discs and an airbag shock sensor for the front, and it will be ready for its MOT. Does anyone have a picture of the airbag sensor ? I want to see where it should be...

Bought the timing belt kit with tensioners and gaskets today, as well as the engine belt and A/C belt. I've also sourced out a pair of electric sunroofs that MIGHT work ! If they do , they will be next on my list, along with removing the roof liner for repairing.

I havent got any tools for the timing mate, I'll just use a drill bit for the inejction pump and a bolt for locking up the flywheel. Mine is an automatic and all the kits I found were for manual ones only, or too expensive.

Thanks mate, it will look better after its finished, but I need to stop spending now for a while. Last thing I'm doing to it at the moment, is timing belts and sunroof mechs ! Come on you guys, there must be someone here who's taken an electric sunroof apart before ! :)

Yeah well, we've got other problems to worry about here rather than rust. Burning sun destroyes everything in its path ! Leave your car out for a month in August, and pick it up next month with half the plastic trim parishing like crumbled bisquits and see your rubber trim shrinking... Paint...

Thanks guys :-) To be honest, even though I found parts cheap and all, at the end of the day I think it would be cheaper to get one that was running ! ...but where's the fun in that ? :D I've got something I'd like to ask: I've got the electric sunroofs on the car but they are both broken...

Picked up the rest of the panels today :-) The bonnet could do with a respray but at least they are straight. Hopefully next week I'll have them on the car ;-)

I'll be taking the 2 front wings and picking up a bonnet and 2 front doors next week for a swap. My doors are fine but they both need the power window motors and door cards , plus I need a OS mirror, so for 50euro each, i might as well swap them completely

Yes dudes in Cyprus :p Couple of questions guys : 1- in order to replace front wings, do I have to remove front bumper ? 2- does anyone have a picture of a bumperless disco 300 tdi ? I also need a picture of the bonnet slam panel lock. I think mine is banged out of shape
