Hi Peeps, A simple question, will the alternator and power steering pump from a 2.5TD fit on to a 200tdi ?

Howdie, Can any one tell me, approximately, how heavy a 200tdi engine is? I will need to collect one in the near future and was wondering how sturdy a trailer I'd need, or wether it would fit through the rear door on a County style Landy.

Thanks for that, it's the kind of daft thing you don't really think about until you're looking. Oh, and yes I know about the actual engines - 200tdi has lots of little belts, 300tdi has one serpentine belt :D.

Hi, I'm looking to do an engine swap on my 90 so I'm looking for a doner Disco 200tdi. The problem is that I don't know much about the different models of Discovery. So what's the easy way to tell if I'm looking at a 200tdi or a 300tdi Disco (or any other model for that matter)parked up...

:)Thanks for the offer, but what I'm after is some longer lengths of that type of pipe so that I can run them into a vapour trap before going to the airbox. I've just not managed to find any where that sells some thing suitable.

Yes, I know all about stuffed hoses, when one of them broke it fell against the turbo and melted shut. the result was a pressure build up that pumped the oil out around the oil filter, very messey:rolleyes:. I'm not knocking it, I've run the wee beast for 5 years or so now, just trying to...

Does any one in the Yeovil area know where I can buy pipe to replace my knackered oil breather pipes. This is for a 2.5TD (yes one of those, and before anybody says, I'd love to replace the engine but can't afford it at the moment;)). The pipe is hydrolic type stuff, thick walled with woven...
