Yes i googled that too..i just want to know wether to set it to 14.4 or 14.7 . that nonsense means nothing to me. Thanks for your reluctant help all the same

The ctek instructions say, 14.4v for wet,ca/co,mf,gel and some agm batteries. 14.7v for most agm batteries like optima and odyssey. hence my confusion.

Hi my ctek charger has come today. It has an option for charging to 14.4v and 14.7v . I think I have seen 14.7 v mentioned here somewhere for charging. Is that correct.

I never lock the car , will that have any bearing on the rf issue ?

Is Kseal that bad then, I have never used it previously I just happened to have a bottle in the garage.The bottle is very small , a guy in the motor trade recomended it to me . As a plumber we have similar products available to seal small leaks which work fine.

Thanks for all the advice guys, all taken on board, I feel quite ill so have not felt up to doing any checks. I ordered a ctek mxs 5.0 charger , the car doesn't get much use so will keep it hooked up whilst parked.

I had my van battery tested a few weeks back due to it smelling sulphury (its under seat) garage said yes batteries fecked...bought new one 90 odd quid,2 days later van breaks down,voltage regulator knackered. Battery was and still is fine.It was tested with a fancy snap on unit which lied.

Maybe a daft question but is it ok to just remove the battery ? Will I have issues when I refit it or do I need to keep another on it. I dont think it down to the weather as the garage is very warm. With regards to question about rf receiver..is this the remote ? I am using the 2nd remote as...

Alternator charging yes, Battery came with car, how would I check it? I dont have a battery tester,but I have a multimeter if thats of use. r/f receiver I do not know ,car is 4 litre 2001 countryman if that helps.

Which incidentally it hasn't...puddle was there again today.Plus battery was flat again.The last few journeys out have resulted in the suspension going into high mode and staying there ...seems more prevalent in the wet...

My battery has started to discharge in 2 days, I dont really know where to start. I dont tend to lock it as its garaged , does this keep it more awake ?.Where do I start with regards to finding the problem? Any guides maybe ?

I left the car parked up after I posted a few days ago...last nite there were 2 pools ,one looks hard to get at ,at front of engine under aircon assembly..water pump ? The other god knows. I bunged a bottle of K seal in..shall wait n see if it helps. In the meantime its now suffering a flat...

Definitely coolant as its green and needs top ups..its just irregular last night I had another really good look but not so much as a drip after driving and leaving on tickover for ages.

Since buying my car I have found random large amounts of coolant on the garage floor,but I never catch it leaking ,it just seems to take a **** randomly overnight. When you look theres droplets in loads of random places under and around the battery as far as centre of radiator. I can drive...

A cog came up on the dashboard and a select neutral message , did as it asked then run it forwards and backwards all seems good.
