I've attached a pic I found, some of the aluminium cover plates have a bung/plug in the middle. Are your ones solid?

I've got suffix b, I have seen other threads where people have just reversed the plug on the PTO cover which then allows to fit. Do you have the covers as well?

Have you made sure that the belt is tight and correct between the teeth at top and right. If it's out by a tooth then it will make it tight around the tensioner.

Maybe I've missed something but couldn't this be bypassed by cutting the handbrake cable from underneath?

I did read somewhere that fitting a spacer between lift pump and engine helps the longevity. Glencoyne engineering sell them.

What's the gap between roof and door? How big and is it straight?

I wonder if the bleed nipples on the new calipers are faulty. Because the calipers are still full of air and the air is being compressed when you press the brake pedal, this could cause the blow back at the MC. Can you completely unscrew a bleed nipple and see if much air/fluid is released? If...

Did you try adjusting the throttle leaver while the engine was running?

I had exactly the same problem with max revs after starting my engine after 2 years. All I needed to do was to pull the throttle cable a few times while the engine was running and it settled down to just an idle.
