ill try better this time. took my 300tdi to a company who would strip rebuild it and put extras on it ie. suspension lift, snorkle,wading kit,winch bumper, bfg at,s. full respray, egr removed,decat,roof lights,rack,door ladder spots,interior engine rebuilt, clutch,brakes,discs,ns chrome ball n...

been quoted 10k for 300tdi from a company who totally rebuild and spec up but i told 5 yrs time will spend big time due to rust hence 2004 td5 better value but not so much off road spec. do intend to keep disco for ever if poss

i have 2 choices looking for feedback. looking for a discovery for collecting stock for my business, for family use and off roading,got a set amount of. cash do i :- a. spend money getting a 300tdi 5 door 7 seat refurbished, rebuilt and spec to what i need, like raised suspension, winch...

fair point did look at a 98 7 seater 2wks ago guy wanted 4k for it told him could get a td5 for that be he not move,i like the 300tdi and want latest in disco 1 model, just keep looking, thanks for advice

i had this prob with rear doors n tailgate got spring kit from ebay plus spare door card clips all working great now, look at post by sticky titled disco door springs, wish he did this before i had probs looks great step by step help, goodluck

been offered 300tdi 5 door r reg on 98 100k miles 6month tax 1 yr mot only 5 seater £2000. told not too much cost to convert to 7 seat. still to view it as it 100 miles away. is it a big job and costly to convert to 7 seats and is it worth 2k. any advice appreciated, thanks :confused:

muds all round is what i want so will save up some more, bfg muds km2, they the best, how much and are they ok on roads also cheers:)
