Sounds like an idle valve problem to me, had that once in a Vaxhall Vectra and it was the air idle valve. It has to do with the flow rate of fuel to air mix and would be affected by different fuel suppliers. ie more or less sulphur for instance as sulphur burns easily so more sulphur easier...
