So I've put a new 300 tdi loom in my 90 as it was lying around and my original was rotten. Now will it wireup and work with a 200 tdi engine or am I gonna have to tear it all out?

Is the 200 tdi steering pump the same on a 300 tdi? It's a 200 disco engine cheers

Well it's lucky I'm not. I'm using the original 200 tdI flywheel housing. Then I'm going to drill four new holes in the bottom of the defender lt77 gearbox bell housing so it fits. Does every one get the jist or is there some one else who has another marvellous comment or opinion that just has...

Ok we seem to be missing some info here. The engine that came out of my 90 was a 2.5 td, I'm putting a disco 200tdi in. I'm leaving the original defender 90 box in Along with the original 90 bell housing albeit with a few extra holes. Final question..." will it work"?

Thankyou gratch!! Read the post guys. I'm using the lt77 gearbox with a 200tdi engine. I already drilled the small holes for the dowls but missed the bolts across the bottom. Hohum take the bell housing off again tomorrow a d drill some more. Cheers

Right so I've checked through all the threads on disco 200tdi into defender. So it's all done apart from we've used the original disco flywheel cover. So now the 4 sandwich bolts across the bottom don't line up. Now should I drill new holes in the bell housing or swap the flywheel covers...

doubt itd be much work to fit. its a steel bulkead, just weld the extra tabs you need. if its a bit big pull the material off abit, cut it and re staple/stick it back. anythings possible

I had excessive play on my 90's steering, turned out the bottom bearing in the steering box was shot, just replaced the box. get someone to turn the steering in just the freeplay movement while you look at all the links from beneath it, youll see summat moving but not the bit its joined to.

Mmmmm, I had a few ideas from people. Andy at allisport said he used trailer bushes on the old 90 racer with an isuzu motor. iguess i'll have to wait till i get the plate and see where it all sits

And surprise surprise it dosent fuking fit as the plate is wrong.............................new i shouldnt have listened to people!! The adapter plate is now for sale so i can get the correct one!!

I bought mine BRIGHT Orange. it used to be white. the guy roller painted it without roughing the original paint, now it flakes badly, Oh well out with the pressure washer :)

I need the chassis loom for my 90 (The wiring harness inside the chassis) Its got to be the later one with the plastic connectors not the rubber ones. Ta :D

I put a post up asking the same. should be on the first or second page here. They are called Cappings. seem pretty easy. drill the rivets pull em off. rear corners are £15 and the long sides are £50.

Never mind, turns out the adaptor plates are to take all LR boxes. happy days.

Im putting an isuzu 2.8 in my 90. it came out of another 90 that had a v8 gear box in it so it still has the adapter plate for that. So does any one have the adapter plate for an LT77 box to go on a isuzu engine and fancy a swap?? TA:D
