    Location of air-con drain

The drain pipe was missing on my TD4, meaning the air con was draining into the footwell. Dealer failed miserably to get me a replacement, so I've pushed some garden hose onto the outlet, which appears to be working.

    Axle twister fun orf road

Really interesting vid that, thanks for posting. Having had a 90 and now a FL I'd never argue that the 90 didn't have better ground clearance and articulation, but I know which car I'd rather be in when the going get's slippery and requires traction. :)

    FBH - Always on?

Hi, The FBH on my 04 TD4 HSE is working a treat on these cold mornings, fires up and gets warm really quickly. Thing is, I understand it's supposed to turn off once the car is up to temperature? Mine seems to still be running after a good 45 minute drive (can hear it and feel hot air coming...

    Nav without Radio

Evening all. I've got a Becker Traffic Pro in my 2004 HSE. Is there a way I can have the Sat Nav on (and announcing directions) without having to listen to the radio and/or CD? I suppose I could have the volume controls set up seperately and turn the radio down, but that seems a bit...

    Wet Freelander - Try this

Interesting post, thanks. Where are the drain holes on a Freelander? (I've got a sunroof, and also wet carpets!)

    Wet Feet

OK, update in case anyone else has this pipe missing and finds this thread. A short length of garden hose (quite small diameter) heated in boiling water fits snugly onto the outlet of the air-con box. No more wet feet for us.

    fitting becker sat nav

Odd, in my previous car I used TomTom but actually really like the Becker nav. Have updated to 2006 maps and it's actually quite accurate, not many unknown roads and the voice prompts are far better than TomTom. It's also very quick at "locking on" to a GPS signal.

    HOW TO: Fit Light Guards

Thanks for the write-up. I fancy some of these, but didn't feel hugely confident about drilling holes all over the shop - this makes it look easy!

    Wet Feet

OK, little update. I can't see it because it's missing. I can feel a hole in the bulkhead, but there's no hose there, I can wiggle my finger into the air conditioning box. Any idea where I can get one? Do they just push on to the little plastic pipe which is currently flush with the bulkhead? Ta

    Wet Feet

Hi, thanks for the replies. Yes, have got a sunroof. Is there a drain or something that gets blocked? Have tried to get at the pollen filter, but annoyingly, the sockets I need to undo the bolts are too thick to get into the recesses on the housing. Have searched for the aircon drain, but...

    Wet Feet

Hi, The carpet in the front and rear footwells on the passenger side of my 04 TD4 is soaking wet. It's not oily or smelly, so I don't think it's coolant/antifreeze from the heater matrix. Are there any obvious places where the car leaks? It's as wet in the rear as it is in the front, but the...
