    ABS,TC,Hill Descent lights coming on

Hi. Do a search for "three amigos", it's a popular topic. The crunchy noise is your abs working.

    Thanks

How'd you fix it? Mine's still playing up.

    inside grab handles.

I bought all four handles from eBay when I bought my Freebie, cost me about £40.

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Right, bit of an update. Came inside and looked at FL2s to maybe buy in the summer, came out an hour later to pop over to the supermarket and the FBH fired straight up. So if you're reading this, the fix is: do nothing. Thanks all for your help. :)

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Well, I went out into the horrible wet slushy snow and had a go, got defeated by rusty screws and those bloody plastic trim clips. I'll try again another time. Cheers.

    Help identifying a wire....

Thanks Sing, good to know its not going to stop me getting to work - will solder it on properly at some point.

    Help identifying a wire....

Hi, While trying to work out what's wrong with my FBH I had the passenger rear liner off I found a little stray earth wire, the tab it attached to had pretty much rusted off (it came adrift in my hands). It attaches to a tab next to a silver cylinder, I'm assuming it's the fuel pump. Not sure...

Thanks Dave, I'll try that tomorrow.

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Thanks Dave, been looking at that thread. I have the rear wheel arch liner off and have checked the pump works by applying 12v to it, all seems OK it clicks quite happily with power applied. When I put fuse 5 back in, the FBH fan comes on and blows cold air from the exhaust... it does this for...

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Tried another reset. This time I could feel cold air coming out of the exhaust, but there was no banshee howl. Any ideas of my next thing to try? Thanks.

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Thanks for the fuse info, the FBH tried to fire this morning - made the banshee howl, but I think failed to light, as the car struggled to get to temperature, I also didn't hear the clicking FBH pump. Any ideas what to try next?

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Do I pull the fuse with the engine running? I've pulled it out for a couple of mins without the keys in the ignition - nothing, didn't even try to start when I started the car up, can't hear the pump or anything. It's dead. Was working perfectly until a few days ago. Any ideas?

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Thanks Dave, pulled that fuse for 5 mins (ignition off) and it still didn't fire up. Didn't make a sound in fact. Engine was warm though, does anyone know if it doesn't bother to fire if the engine/coolant is already warm? Was working fine until a few days ago.

Quick FBH question. F5 or FL5

Hi, My FBH has stopped working, which is annoying as I've just moved north and it's freezing. In the fuse box under the bonnet, is it FL5 which is 80amps or F5 which is 20 (and has a picture of an engine and lightning bolt on the sticker). Thanks.

    Is this a problem?

Roaring noise, increase in revs and lack of acceleration - my money is on a slipping clutch. When coupled to the replacement of the dual mass flywheel, it's an expensive job.

    Freelander rpm at 70mph

Hey, No matter how much power you find revs and speed will always be the same in each gear (clutch slip not withstanding) unless you change a drivetrain component. More power just means you'll get to those revs and speed faster. :)

    Freelander 1 Becker Sat Nav.

In it's defence, the Becker SatNav, despite it's screen limitations gives brilliant audio instructions, I've got 2007 maps on mine and have never stumbled across a road so vastly changed as to make the SatNav useless. I've got a TomTom as well, but often use the Becker nav, when I can't be...

    My Freelander rescues the army

Firstly, nice job on the EWP - you've carried on long after I would've given up (I have a 44 second attention span), I really hope it's totally sorted for you now. Nice work on the Defender recovery. Nothing brightens my day like a hippo dragging a tratter. Having had both, I totally believe...
