Yeah, got a couple of other spots around the car where it's starting to go. Also lacquer flaking everywhere.

Also tidied up the bonnet lettering which was looking a bit tired with some vinyl wrap.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Finally got round to respraying the roof. Rattle can job, took it back to bare metal and went for it. Did the roof bars and end caps as well. Not perfect, but happy for a first attempt and should keep it protected for a few more years.

Depends, if you have a look under your brake pedal, if it looks like the one in your picture you don't need the modified loom. If it looks like a mini asthma inhaler then you will. To remove you need to unplug the Loom and twist the switch to remove. To fit the new one, press the brake pedal...

Just replaced the tailgate actuator on my TD4 as the last one gave up. What moron was responsible for picking the screw location on the bottom of the door panel!!!! Took longer to get that off than do the job.

    Freelander 1 TD4 Sport springs

Haven't had a proper look yet, but that's what I'm hoping based on price of new. They were an advisory so they can't be at critical.

    Freelander 1 TD4 Sport springs

Hi All Advisory on MOT today - all 4 suspension springs corroded. Had a look online and can only find non-sport springs. 55 plate F1 TD4 Sport 5 door. Checked Rimmer Bros but they don't stock them. Anyone know where I can get them?

    Loud clunk from rear SOLVED

Different. The diff mounts was more of a low bang and a feel of pulling on acceleration. This is quite a loud 'clunk', just from driving down my road to test it, so not going fast, didn't happen under acceleration or gear change just happened a couple of times at random. Checked everything...

    Loud clunk from rear SOLVED

Had a clunking noise from back of my 55 TD4, replaced all 3 diff mounts which were shot, replaced diff oil while I was down there, took it up the road for a spin and heard a new louder clunk from the rear. Any ideas anyone? I recently replaced the propshaft bearings so they're new as well.
