Thanks once again Just to try and narrow it down a bit further, the pads were changed all round and rear discs changed, all prior to my journey. When braking there is now also wheel wobble as though the front discs were warped, would this also indicate CV joint

Just returned from a 1000 mile trip to France. Car now has a clonking noise when cornering at low speed or pulling away with wheel turned eg if I turn right there are 2 clonks sounds coming from front n/s Any ideas, car is a L322.

You will be able to find out what recalls have been done on your car. Mine was checked and deemed to be OK, but 8 months after that I had a failure which was covered by the warranty. Also phone the LR Warranry people directly, you should have a card with their number, I found them more helpful...

That maybe the case, however the car had the recall done early last year, confirmed all OK. End of last year is when I had the problem. I guess it is horses for courses, to my mind owning a vehicle with potential expensive failures I'd prefer peace of mind, also helps when it comes to selling...

You are right the 'money experts' say this, but in my case I would have been somewhat out of pocket since LR are not cheap to repair. The thing with insurance is that it gives peace of mind and hope you never need to claim

Stupid question, but I'll asked anyway. If I get both front and rear disks and pads replaced do I need the Caliper seal kit. Also does anyone have a recommendation for where I can have these fitted around East Sussex for a fair price. Thanks in advance

I also looked into this when I renewed my warranty. I had paid about £1500 for a LR warranty on a L322 Vogue 4.4, in that period I had 2 claims first was to replace a mirror the second was a front diff/prop failure. There were no issues with either claim, certainly cheaper than not having...

The front blower on my L322 has stopped working, the lights on the dial work when turned but no fan. Have changed fuse 34 but nothing. Has the unit failed and would this be covered by the LR extended warranty?

OK thanks for clearing that up, the pads I changed at 14k as that is all it had done for the first 3years of it's life

Not sure if this is +ve or -ve post, but when the car had the warranty done for the front prop/diff they said the car had been serviced in accordance with how they expected since the car tells you when to have it done.

I have a L322 RR Vogue V8, on an 02 plate which is due for a service in about 900 miles. Wonder what the cost would be mileage currently is 28k, car has only ever had one service which was at 14k. Also since I have extended LR warranty does it have to be done by an official LR dealer, if not...

Malc That is the view I took, WD quoted £850 for my 02 Vogue L322, so we were looking at £1050 verses £1500, so for the extra £450 I feel sticking with LR was worth it, especially as I have had experience with them with the failure of the front diff and prop.
