Right im thinking of starting a project next year sometime. and i want to put a td5 with and auto gearbox into a defender.
ive been looking at other threads and they all say have a look at ashcroft transmisions for the whole kit, but this costs around £4500 including vat.
so i was thinking...
IVe just been reading through this months issue of lro iinternational. and saw paul darlows 100inch svx. and i must say what a machine. but one thing that confused me a little bit is how he extended the chassis. it said he litterally cut the ninety chassis in half and welded 7 inches of steel...
just been looking at tdv6's on ebay. im not going to by one im only dreaming
but something just seems not quite rite about them. why have they been taken out of cars that have only done a few thousand miles:confused:
