    Gearbox Probs

When you strip out the plate and centralising springs mentioned in the other post you will find the gearlever is totally loose in the gearbox. If it is stiff then there may be problems further in the box.

    Intermittent starter motor on TD5

There are two terminals on the outside of the solenoid, one connects to the battery, the other connects the solenoid to the starter with a short wire. It may be possible to bypass the solenoid by connecting the battery lead directly to the other terminal on the starter. The best way to check...

    lpg help

It will cost over £2000 to have a quality conversion done, this will NOT increase the value of the car. It will take a long time and a lot of miles to recoop the cost of the conversion. A LPG tank of about 80 litres which will take up most of the boot space will need to be fitted. I would not...

    advice needed with lpg??

I had my 4.0 Disco II converted in April 2006, I forgot that I was supposed to take the car back to the fitters after 1000miles for the system to be re-calibrated. The car ran fine for a while and eventually kept reverting back to petrol. I took it back to the fitters in February this year...

    Front Caliper Pipes need them..

Most motor accessory shops or garages will make them up for you, take your old ones to them. Or............... buy the pipe on a roll, the flaring tool, some ends and make your own. Then whenever you need brake pipes you can make them up anytime.

    clutch estimate?

Are you sure this is not a hydraulic release problem? Normally when a clutch wears out, it slips with the pedal at or almost at its uppermost position. It may be worth trying to bleed the clutch fluid before jumping headlong into changing the clutch.

I had my Disco II converted about 15 months ago with a multipoint system. There have been no issues related to the conversion apart from a slight loss of MPG, the car pulls like a dream and I cannot tell wether it is running on gas or petrol.

    Help - Heater don't work!

Try changing the thermostat. While you have the old thermostat out and before you fit the new one, back-flush the whole coolant system with a hose that has a decent pressure. Put the hose in both the feed and exit pipes from the heater to unblock any obstructions. Good luck;)
