Tried running it with map disconnected - no difference Tried running it with maf disconnected - seemed slightly worse Starting issues still no better after changing all glow plugs and fuel leak off pipes...

Checked the pipe and replaced it. Blew down it and its all clear

With it disconnected it felt no different to when it was connected. Guessing its faulty??

It's starting to do my head in now. I don't really wanna spend too much money on getting it right. Might end up selling it on at this rate. I only paid 3k for it as its a cat c

Would a very small coating of oil in the maf sensor cause all this?

Very informative post thanks for that. I will check and change both the map and maf sensors and see what happens. Anyone know where to find these tho? Really struggled to find map. Landrover took 45 mins to find it and they call it a turbo boost pressure sensor. £75+vat

have just disconnected the pipe from map sensor and blocked it up there was no change to driving at all.. so this could be faulty?

Could a faulty map sensor be causing my starting issues? If so I may just go get a new one to try

Where could I get that done? I'm gonna struggle now till after Easter. But the starting issue is the main issue for now. It's got a full tank of fuel too so dose that rule out lift pump issue?

Changed glow plugs, change every leak off pipe and still no better.

That was split so I replaced it when I was doing the plugs. It's at the point where it's actually dangerous to pull out of a junction as its that slow untill it hits 2000 rpm then it's off like a good un

The egr valve inlet had a penny blocking the egr pipe. What's that all about?

I will give it a clean out if I can. Glows now changed. Leak off pipes look good apart from the one on the first injector that goes back down to the injector pump. That's really badly split. Possible cause to issues?

Just on with changing the glow plugs now. Is it normal for there to be oil in the inlet manifold? I wouldn't have thought that should be there and am guessing turbo related? Thanks
