Just been out in it... Cold start was acceptable. Only about 2 or 3 cranks then fired. This new battery has certainly helped. I did 3 heats with the glows before cranking tho... Perhaps I should re fit the hot start fix that I removed??

Yeah I have engine management lamp and glow lamp there. Engine management goes out once started and running

What does this lamp look like? Is it not the engine management light?

Maybe it was always on so been removed? Will have a look at that next then

You say that should illuminate when ignition on then go out? I don't see that lamp at all.

Yeah I fear this could be an expensive one.... No lamps flicker on while driving. What is the mil lamp? Would it be beneficial to buy one of them nanocom things? Can they read live data?

I'm gonna go down to the garage today they said they would plug it in for me so will see what they say. I'm assuming they could read live data with their equipment

Also lastnight when I was manoeuvring in tight spaces it kept stalling. Could that be linked? I'm leaning towards timing chain stretch now

Battery arrived.. Fitted.. Hot starts no better, but I've taken off the hot start fix so perhaps I should put that back on? Will try later for a cold start when it's cold enough to put the glows on.. I don't think it's a fuel issue, there's pleanty of un burnt fuel coming out when it finally...

I've got a unit over in brighouse that is big enough to rip apart one at a time in doors so that's a bonus
