Back to this issue, very slow take off and stalling when moved into drive or reverse. Could this be related to low gearbox oil? Noticed I have a leak on both ends on one of the rubber pipes to the oil cooler.

Removed the resistor and refitted the hot start fix, now get glows on hot starts, 11.7 ish volts on glow 6 while glow light on then off then back on while cranking then off when engine starts.. Assuming that's all correct? It starts much better but does still need some cranking. I can live with...

Thanks.. I will do that and wire it back up over the weekend.. I put the coin in the egr and took the vacuum pipe off and it's running better, more top end power.. Take off seemed better but will see after a few days.

Should I take the resistor out?

This is the internals of the hot start fix I have. It this ok? And any adjustments that need to be made?

I will have a look when I get home tonight. Would one of them blanking kits help? But I've heard that they will be an mot failure next year? It definetly seems to be lacking in pressure. Then when it's up to 2000rpm it's off... I've run with the maf disconnected and there was a noticeable...

Yeah as soon as it hits 2000 revs or so it's off like a rocket... Here's a thought tho and I'm probably wrong but worth mentioning The egr valve (the part where the vac pipe connects, I forget its name) leaks a bit of oil.. There's a small hole in the bottom right by where the vac pipe...

Yeah will order some Bosch ones. Need to sort this low power issue tho. Sometimes it's scary. Changed map and cleaned inter cooler. Seems slightly better after cleaning but map made no difference. Pipes to and from turbo seem ok

Well the cold starting seems fine with new battery. I just give it a few heats first and it fires after a few cranks. So if I refit the hot start fix I'd imagine it will be ok...

It's a new battery mate. One recommended by datatek from the battery megastore

Also I get an intermittent "traction failure" fault and the traction light coming on solid But the nanocom picks up no faults ?? And the nanocom won't talk to the eas ecu...

Well it's done 76000 and have no history so I have no idea wether this has been done or not. How difficult is it to retime the pump? Worth a try before buying a full timing kit

Perhaps he will come along and clarify. I'm assuming if that's correct a new timing chain fitting would correct that?
