Nipped it up to landrover garage and he seems to think its something to do with where the timing pin goes right in the middle of the pipes on back of pump

What special tools would be needed? And where can I get the o-ring We have a diesel specialist 10 mins away (feather diesel in elland) wonder if they would be able to do it? I know their expensive tho

All has been well since having the fuel pump changed. Running smooth starting fine but noticed a few leaks so had a few seals replaced, had both the gear oil cooler pipes replaced and engine oil cooler change, they were all leaking... Now the only thing leaking is diesel. Seems to be coming from...

Lol good thinking. They haven't got back to me yet so I've looked at their new price and best I can find is £550 so av put the ecu complete with chips on for £300 or best offer Only paid £500 for the motor in the first place. Got loads of p38 parts, V8 and diesel available still.

Well I didn't get chance to look at anything as I had to drive to Sheffield for a meat loaf concert lastnight I decided to take the range rover and give it a good run.. And the problem seems to have suddenly corrected itself.. The light was always on, then lastnight on the way back to the hotel...
