sorted now, its not the 5 amp fuse in the middle, its no1 fuse under the seat :)

1999 110 TD5 shorted out the rear curtasy light (small spark) whilst playing with the bulb, now no interior lights and no radio. went to central fusebox (near gear leaver) lower row 4th in from right 5 amp fuse but not blown? tried another fuse no luck. what am I doing wrong...its got me baffled...

I'll report back when I've done it (after the snow) is it obviouse which way round the pipes go? just in case they are wrong and I copy them!

I was going to flush the system and refresh the coolant so I'll replace the thermostat at the same time.

The Mud one comes with the holes pre drilled, with new slightly longer stainless screws and little black screw head covers, seems realy well made, fitted on with no problems :D

I'll try and take some pics tomorrow, its the Mantec plastic jobby on a TD5, very easy to fit, I used M6 nut and washer instead of the nutsert supplied, took about 20 mins to fit, the snow cowl is the ABS one from Mud, just screws on instead of the flat grill. I must admit that I fitted...

I fitted a Mantec snorkel and Mud snow cowl (just in time :)) on wednesday, these were both from santa :D Also fitted some wipac clear fronted light and halfords + 130 bulbs, what a differance :eek::eek::eek:, I can see at least as well as with the lights from my ford focus...I'm well pleased...

My 110 TD5 warms up to about 1/3 on the temperatur guage and doest go any thurther, not much heat from the heater, can the thermostat get stuck open? I tried undoing the bleed srew and idling for a while but this didnt seem to do anything other than loose some coolant. any ideas? or am I being a...

dash4it (google it) are the best price, great sevice and do the waterproof versions as well :) (warerproof version ideal for those that like wading)

get involved by posting on the site and it'll offer up some good advice (and light hearted abuse) for any problems you encounter. I've just bought a fairly high mileage 110 at a good price, hopefully if something goes wrong I'm still quids in :)

I've wild camped a lot in Scotland, as others have said you might get stuck so take plenty of provisions and warm gear (expedition sleeping bag etc) I wouldn't bother trying to camp on Loch Lomand, drive further North and find a good spot in one of the Glens, there's plenty of rivers about to...
