hey guys, this 24mm drain plug was leaking from the gearbox, the haynes manual says its the extension gearbox housing drain plug. so i drained it all, cleanen seal etc and refilled, still leaking though, anyone have a part number or know where i can get one for it, or an easy fix ??

haha just the engines mate, on there own, and turbos attached. there both in the back of my old landy and want em out so me mate can take the lift kit off ready to put on me new one. both lads are quiet stocky. hope they manage it then

As above, how many men would it take to lift a 200 & a 300tdi from the back of a discovery ??

i mean 75mph lol

im thinking of changeing mine over from my 300tdi to my 200tdi, the color is better and it looks better. however 1 is auto and 1 is manual. will hope some one can shine some good light on this, how hard/easy ?

just spoke to my friend who drove it home, he said after 50minutes of motorwaying at 7mph, when he went to gear down at the round about to come off, the gear stick went very stiff and would go into gear, but after jiggaling it a little bit all was fine, ??

ok mate, my other was a 300tdi auto so not used to it lol. only insured today, will take it for a spin tomoro ! i guessed id get used to it tho lol hope the corsas behind me hav extra strong bumbers haha

hi guys, just got a new disco, lreg 200tdi, runs sweet as a nut, exellent condition for age too. it has got a recon gearbox, however the 1st and reverse seem to be very close together, but does engage gears perfectly when u get the stick in right place. also my friend who drove it home said that...

ok so after lots and lots or reading and more reading, im guessing i need a 200tdi ezautobox backplate, whitch im told are EXTREMELY RARE TO GET HOLD OF, HOWEVER I MAY HAVE JUST FOUND ONE, COLLECTING ON SATURDAY HEEEYEEEEEEAAAAAAA

nice one mate thankyou for that! just needed a nice simple answer, and thats done it. its been at the garage for about 3weeks now with still nothing happening. ! suppose i cud just change the gearbox to a 200 manual...... would be cheeper i guess

its an old disco anyways, and the new engine has less than half the mileage as the old one, its winding me up cos the step dad is sorting it when i would have just wacked another 300tdi in, but i got the 200tdi engine for nothing, hence why trying to get it to fit so badly lol.

there still having problems trying to find some bleeding adapter plate or sumat, the engine took out was a 300tdi from a discover 1 ES model. there trying to fit a 200tdi into it, and saying there struggling to get hold of a part, it also is an auto gear box. any ideas anyone ?

hiya guys, the garage as set upon putting a 200tdi into my 300tdi as i blew the 300..there struggling to find an adapter plate or something, other than that everthing is there for me to go right in, does this sound familier ??

hey guys, think i did mine wrong, all i did was put the plate in the middle of the egr and the manifold and bolted everything back on. anyways, lost all engine oil and ceased it up 25miles down the road. do u think it was because of the egr blanker ??? or is that just a co-insidence.
