    Clutch not clutching

Hi guy's Just got me hands on a series 3 LWB 2.25 petrol with a clutch problem. Here is the symptoms: When you press the pedal it feels like that there is a good spring behind it (not just the return springs) but it does not allow you to engage gear (Nasty crunching noise). If I put the Hi / Low...

    Step up

Just got me some of them fold up side steps from Padds to put on me 2A, and as far as I can tell I have fitted them correctly but when I fold them up they don't go to vertical. they sort of stop at around 20 degs from vertical. It look like they strike the side panels. Has any one else had this?

    Help on LRP

Hi guys i have a 1964 series 2a 2.25 3 bearing landy and i have just replaced my (Copper ) head gasket and I think I saw something somewhere saying that running old engines on normal unleaded petrol can cause head gaskets to fail. Does anyone know if this is true and if so what is the best way...

Well got the head off today and there is a bit of the head gasket about 15mm wide missing between pots 1 and 2 My questions this time are :- 1. What do you do if you snap off the studs that hold the exhaust pipe on to the manifold? drill + tap or replace manifold? 2. How much gap is...

    Chuffing landy

Ok I took me landy out last week for a little drive and all went well for a couple of miles and then it started to sound like a steam engine. It makes a chuffing noise when I put me foot down so I took off the air filter (K+N) and it is pushing air/petrol mix back through the air intake. It...

Can i fit wheels and tyres from a Series 3 LWB (My mate has a spare set)? The old girl will be spending 98% of...

    rust proofing

Ps I DON'T suggest drilling holes in your chassis but a hole can usually be found somewhere

    rust proofing

Bits of you chassis is box section and if you have welded anything to this you would have burnt off any oil / protection there (it gets hot on both sides you know):) I suspect that everyone will suggest Waxoil. A real messy job

I too would be interested the out come of this thread and all I can say is “Don’t forget the inside of the welded sections where the oil has burnt off” Slippery
