If you steering lock is loose you can just tighten it up they usually have a shear bolt,you may be lucky and the head is still on so you can tighten it up, if not i usally tap them round with a center punch and then fit a bolt good luck with the rest

Have you checked it in the same way as the lads are telling the bloke in the thread 5 threads down If the rest of the winch is good ,IE gears ,bearings and overall condition then get a motor No doubt some winch dude on here will recommend you a motor up grade

when the vehicle is stationary can you hold the revs at various points in the range with out the engine shaking A major Ht break down will cause the engine to miss and shake like a ****eing dog, esp under load thats my wild stab in the dark anyway:D

Are you talking quad SUs or a quad barrel carb The revue of Quad SU cards I read was years ago when I was in the V8 Manta club:D Im sure the conclusion was they are only good for raceing

Ive herd they are only good for balls out driving (drag racing} etc I have been known to be wrong though
