    TD5 remote locking not working

Might be interference from a WiFi transmitter. Have you parked somewhere different today? The transceiver is in the middle of the roof, try holding the key closer to there.

    What years are missing?

If we are talking about the past, then... 1952 1960 1962 1983 1986 1989 All LWB (109" or OneTen) except the '52, obviously. Currently 2003 Discovery

    What years are missing?

I doubt it. My guess would be that '78 and '79 would be under-represented, simply because British Leyland was so skint they were buying the cheapest steel available, and most cars from that period have rusted away (although if an 88 or 109 from that era were re-chassied that wouldn't be an...

Land Rover hasn't been "British" for years. Remember it was German owned, then American, before becoming Indian? The only British thing about it worth lauding is the design, certainly the manufacture has been shoddy at best - something that dates right back to the '70s when it truly was a...

New rules for driving in spain

GPS. And I doubt everyone only drives within the permitted speeds. Also, I suspect the Daily Fail is ignoring the possibility that the Spanish police (in common with all European and Swiss police forces) actually take 5km off the recorded speed before calculating if you are over, precisely to...

New rules for driving in spain

So? Drive under the limit, then you won't get fined. Honestly, why has everyone forgotten that the speed limit is the MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE speed, not the speed you should aim to beat.

What's the best way to acquire a new Land Rover?

I wasn't talking about getting a discount for cash, simply that when you have paid the fees, interest etc. leasing/finance gets very expensive. As you say, the dealer makes money on the finance, so it must be coming from somewhere: you, the buyer.

    A few Disco 2 questions?

There may be some pinholes in the air bags that are covered by the roll in normal use, and get uncovered when the bag raises. Spray some soapy water on them and see.

What's the best way to acquire a new Land Rover?

Cash. Cheapest way to finance a new vehicle. Better still is to buy something (again with cash) a couple of years old, because then at least some of the depreciation has happened, plus any "out of factory" teething problems will have been sorted under warranty.

That is NOT true. Just because a picture is on a forum does not make it Public Domain - it is still copyrighted to the original photographer, and must be credited as such - and if the person re-posting it is making any money from it, a fee must be paid.

    Stop the indian defender

Best thing that could happen, IMO. Defender is essentially hand-built, which makes it very expensive in the UK, and with the new emissions and safety regs it isn't going to be built here any more. By shifting production to a cheaper country with more sensible regs, it has a chance to live on -...

    Torque Problems

If the engine is revving, but the wheels aren't turning (or not accelerating), surely that's a gearbox problem rather than engine? Have you checked the thing has enough ATF in it?
