90% it's this - i had the same issue about 3 months ago.. the leak off pips - follow them back look for cracks.. they wear through pretty easy in some common places.. causing the diesel to leak.. which means the longer you're cranking getting fuel to the injectors..

you trying to find all the rust for the defender to put it back together with that thing?

REALLY happy I have a 300tdi disco in my defender.. steve parkers had the LAST straight down pipe exhaust.. previous owner never used the kit for the mounting of the engine mounts and just welded it straight on... so fitted the exhaust and omg one less stress!

Follow the wires back. Test relay output. Just because it clicks doesn’t mean it’s working. If you have output at the relay side. Then test the wire if no 12v there. Then there’s an issue with the wire between the relay and the screen. It’s simple enough to diagnose

or the prop

Follow the wires back.. undo the top dash screws and see if it's hidden away

I would also use the forums if you're unsure.. just post an image of what you're looking for etc if you can't find it on LRWorkshop.. people here reply when there's an image of something.

Exactly.. the garage just want quick £££ jobs.. no £££ in investigating a electrical fault if it is.. tell your insurance company regardless.

Remove the door cards, lube everything up, put back together and see if the issue still there. Could've been the vibration from the impact. Tell your insurance company, they should cover it if it's apart of the accident.
