That’s the issue with the bell housing hitting the bulkhead in this case with the short version it seems not possible. It’s been on the ramp

Last time i checked engine has to come out to change the clutch this way because of the shaft and area of the box hitting the bulkhead.. Anyone remember doing this ?

Sell it. I have the same problem on my 70 plate DS. 800£ for 2 parking sensors. 1200£ for rear pads and discs. 3 gearbox faults. can buy them at auction for like 5-6k these days.. DS are a waste of money.

there's more fun in unbolting it all yourself.. honestly with the amount of diagrams there are.. don't be afraid you'll be able to put it back together pretty easy with workshop manuals such as lrworkshop.com

yeah was going to say.. even with a lift and transmission jack.. i'd be quoting like 3 hours also.. i got the vibe from the guy that he didn't want to do it as a aftermarket part as he wont make money on it.. got another quote today for 3-4 hours labour.. they're happy to do it.

300tdi defender to a lt77 How many hours would a “reputable landrover specialist” charge you? I phoned up today to ask for a price, got told it would take 8 hours at £60 a hour.. with me providing HD lof clutch kit. Thoughts?
