Might be worth getting it shot blasted and painted. You may make a bit on it. I paid £100 for a second hand FL1 one and it was blasted, zinc primed and sprayed for £80

I have to say, there is some stirling work going on on the FL1 @Nodge68. That subframe looks pretty solid for the most part! *edit* P.S. nice shiny new jack there!

    Freelander 1 Preserving the scarce ! FL1

Yeah, and it'll still need window regulators, a VCU, door speakers, and a head gasket some time ;)

    Freelander 1: audio upgrade advice

I've not changed the head unit out of mine, but these guys are the go to people for harness adapters. They have the specific ones for the Becker head unit which is in the HSE models. Products by vehicle manufacturer - InCarTec InCarTec is a UK based manufacturer and distributor of car audio...

Freelander 2005 TDE HSE aux cable/bluetooth connector solution

You'll have to forgive me as it was a good few years ago, but I think I either did it by removing the cup holders in the dash, or reached up behind from the footwell. I defintely didn't take the HU out. I don't recall it being particularly difficult though

Looks great. Where did you manage to source that from?

Freelander 2005 TDE HSE aux cable/bluetooth connector solution

Yes. That's the becker unit. The cable I linked goes in the back of the HU. Swap the it for the blue plug that is on the vehicle wiring and take the plug out of the cd changer under the drivers seat. Then activate the AUX function on the HU.

Freelander 2005 TDE HSE aux cable/bluetooth connector solution

Is this an FL1 with the Becker HU? If so you can use a cheap aux in cable like the link below, and use any Bluetooth adapter with a 3.5mm connector. You just have to take the plug out of the multichanger. HQRP Audio cable 8-pin ISO to 3.5MM fits Porsche 1999-2002 Becker Traffic Pro, CDR-22...

I love seeing shiny new bits on a car. Shame it's only you, us nerds and the MOT tester that'll see it, unless you roll it of course. Don't do that.
