Looks mint although it's listed as an SE but it's got HSE seats and no heated seat switches though

What have you done to your Freelander today

It's a job I'm sort of looking forward to doing to see how good a job I'll make of it. I doid a boat building apprenticeship years ago and doing headlining was one of the jobs I quite enjoyed. I'm just not looking forward to removing all the 20 year old plastic clips etc, and getting the old...

I've already applied a similar tactic, with some plastic covered drawing pins and some superglue Whilst the first bit of this is true, the trim is not holding mine up at the moment :p

I'll keep it going as long as I can. Next job on the preservation front is some corrosion prevention on the sills, and the next cosmetic job is the chuffing headlining, which has bothered me for two or three years now. Must pull my finger out!

Smooth and quiet. The rear diff was particularly silent... ;) Slight pull to the left but to be expected given the suspension and steering component changes. Once the driveshaft is swapped it's off for alignment we go.

Can't really claim credit for it as it was mostly @Nodge68 but front half of the prop back on, along with offside wishbone and track rod end. Even managed a quick drive up the road! Just a drive shaft to do and we're back baby!

Same as this for mine too. It's been in a good few years now.

Freelander 1 Rapid tyre and brake wear

The front brakes could be siezed calipers causing premature wear. Uneven tyre wear could be pressures incorrect, alignment out or wear in ball joints, track rod ends, drop links or even the steering rack. You need to check for play in all those I would say, most likely the ball joints. At that...

One wishbone, driveshaft and track rod end and we're done!

Freelander 1 Extended brake lines for lift kits??

I'm told by those in the know that 30mm kits do not need extended hoses, but anything more does.

    This would definitely not happen to a 2005 FL1 TD4 ;)

Freelander 1 Freelander 1 diagnostics - What actually works?

Just reviving this thread having just seen another about diagnostics. @pscan.eu have you any plans to develop the software, if it's even possible(?) to have ipack functionalty like T4?

J40! That's a long way up! Currently 12 degress down here at the pointy end so no chance of snowy scenes like you've got. Love the pics Darren.

Rear brakes bled. Hand brake cables fed through and connected. Those grommits are a right pain to get in! On the plus side, the rear end is all done now.
