    L322 Rusty Sills (2006 L322) Repair Yorkshire

LR slipped up there  But then my 37 year old classic is still free of any serious corrosion & has parked in the open for the past 16 years. The secret is spending money on rust prevention treatment, rather than accessories.

Corrosion has been synonymous with Land Rover products for decades, in many cases at a much earlier age than yours. Some things never change.

    P38A Ignore this.

Sorry to p... on your bonfire (no pun intended) but latter day research has concluded that Viking ships used for funeral pyres where in fact burned ashore, not floated out towards Valhalla as Hollywood would have us believe .. in which case your P38 will still be going off-road ;)

range rover classic 3.9 EFI runs poor and heats up very fast with code 14

My 3.5efi doesn't have the facility for code reading, but I changed what I assume is the ECU temp sensor last year & for the first time in 15 years ownership the exhaust tail-pipes are now grey after a run , rather than black  The sensor was in a Lucas branded box .. made in China, but...

P38A Heated Seats - my arse is cold!

Unnecessary, just wear thicker underwear ;) The velour seats in my classic are never cold, but I'm guessing you have leather?

    Mantec rear spare wheel carrier

Unless the design of these carriers have changed over the intervening years since I had one; bear in mind the rear door cannot be opened from the inside when the carrier is in the travel position. In the event of an accident rear seat passengers will be unable to escape unaided. Just a thought

    Series 3 109 engine conversion BMW M57 6cyl diesel

Effectively a Rover P4 100 engine. Lovely smooth unit with excellent torque at low revs. but inherently unsuited to a working LR. Had a '79 12 seater variant decades ago & retrofitted a Rover P5 three litre engine .. world of difference in performance with little or no increase in fuel consumption.

    bulb cover

Hi again guys Having just got my RRC hazard switch working again, as a result of a small piece of the red square warning bulb cover breaking off & preventing the switch from functioning, I want to replace the cover as aged plastic was probably the cause of the breakage. There are complete...

    Classic hazards

At last a good outcome on this. After removing the red bulb cover & putting on my 'specs. I detected what looked like a small piece of red down the side of the bulb holder. A little bit of poking with a jeweller's screwdriver followed by debris removal with a pair of long tweezers & the hazards...

RR classic 3.9EFI bogs when gas is applied

As a nipper in the 1950's I well remember my father asking the pump attendant for x number of gallons & the same of 'shots' I also remember Dad preferred the National Benzol brand of petrol. 'Oh yes & a year's road tax was around £12.

RR classic 3.9EFI bogs when gas is applied

I also put supermarket E5 in my 3.5efi because, apart from keeping the ethanol percentage as low as possible, the pump price is only a few pence higher than the E10 from BP/Shell/Esso used in our old BM. Both cars had a dose of cleaner earlier this year, difficult to tell if the engines saw any...

Range Rover classic 3.9EFI no oil visible under oil fill cap.

I must be losing it Henry, could have sworn that when checking out a 3.9 for a friend years ago I advised him to walk away because of the black appearance visible, plus it had a f..k. VCU. Next time I'm at my 3.5efi I'll take a peek down the 'ole, just to check on my mental status!
