I'm fitting a 200tdi in to my series 3. I don't have the defender/disco radiator and intercooler setup and space is a little too tight to fit any other intercooler. I was wondering how the engine would perform without an intercooler? I wouldn't mind losing 10 or so hp as I'm using the...

I'm going to get off my lazy arse and crack on with my 200tdi swap, I started it in February! :o I've got a disco 200tdi in the Series and the turbo doesnt hit the chassis :confused: For the exhaust I'm going to cut the original disco down pipe and reweld it at a slightly different angle...

What happen if you've no longer got the petrol engine :p

I'm fitting a 200tdi in to a Series 3. I need to find a way of fitting the rubber diesel lines to the lift pump. Does anybody know what sort of connection I need to be able to do this? I'm thinking along the lines of something like this... PCL AIR LINE 1/4 BSPT MALE HOSE CONNECTOR ADAPTOR...

I'm in the middle of fitting a 200 tdi in to my Series 3 swb. See I've got the injectors to fit, wiring to hook up, boost pipes to attatch and then the radiator pipes. Can anybody share me some under bonnet pics of a 200tdi in a series please. So I can get an idea where the rad hoses run...

@Fenby Yes mate I got hold of some Series mounts off ebay. My 265/75/16 Special tracks are rubbing the inner of the back arches when articulating (tbh noticed it more when going around roundabouts :p) so I'm going to fit some 1 tonne lift shackles. I was wondering if you think this would...

Thats the Perkins engine isn't it? As I've got the modified mounts and bell housing adaptor plate for the pug engine (XD2) atleast I've still got the option of going for 3 different engines; 200 tdi, standard engine (not going to happen!) and the pug engine

Nah its orite mate, sure he was just trying his luck. I tell you what tho, at this rate it is seeming cheaper to go for a pug 2.5 TD engine out of an LDV
