Smacked my crank pulley once but got 1 tonne shackles on it now and it seems to be fine :) Was a bust half shaft not bust rear diff :p

I've got a 200tdi in my Series 3 and its a bit smokey. Its not oil smoke but black smoke. It does it with the air filter off so I don't think its a lack of air getting though to the engine. It also smokes a bit on idle. What could it be?

265/75/16 the tyres are, everybody seems to have them round here! I bust my rear diff out playing the other day, not to worry though, should have it sorted before the end of the week.

What is the reason for them being stiffer on one side of the vehicle anyway?

How do you find it for off road driving Spyderman? My Landy is purely for off roading, the only road driving it does is on the way to the mountains :p I find the standard wheel so big that I regularly smash my arm in to the door...

I'm looking at fitting a slightly smaller steering wheel to my Series 3 so I can change direction quicker and get my arms like pop eyes. Does anybody know of a steering wheel thats cheap and easy to get that fits straight on?

Are the shocks at the limit of there travel so there holding the springs flat?

I went to do an oil and filter on my 200tdi Series this evening but didn't have the right size socket. It looks to be about 24mm but wondered if anybody on here could tell me the exact size so I can pick up the right size socket. Cheers, Ad

Sorted! Got hold of a special banjo fixxing that takes the spill off pipe :) I got the engine running today, yipppy! Thanks guys

Ahhhh I see. Bugger:( I bought a cheap 200tdi to fit in to my series 3 and some of the bits were missing, this special double pipe banjo is one of them :mad: Back to the 4x4 shop I go, unless anybody on here has one to sell me??? :) Thanks for the help guys

I thought the line at the rear of the pump was the diesel return line to the tank. I found a photo on the net showing the spill off pipe going in the general area of the rear of the injection pump and could only find what looked like a broken connection with a rubber L shaped boot over it...

The very top banjo bolt on the rear of the pump is the small turbo pipe isn't it? The one below that you mean? Something like a 17mm bolt isn't it? I thought that was the diesel return line :o If that is for the spill off pipe where is the diesel return line?

Air leak in a diesel line?

I'm after a radiator, intercooler, expansion tank and all water and intercooler hoses. Is anybody able to help me? Thanks, Adam
