What springs and shocks did you buy and are you finding any benefitt off road? How are your props holding up?

I've got some money to spend on the Land Rover. 70% of the stuff I drive on is mud like this... YouTube - land Rover Series 3 200tdi off road Would you go for Parabolic springs with the uprated shocks and have to modify the props (as I'm running 1 tonne shackles too) or would you go...

Hmmm thats not good, one of the awesome things about my Series Land Rover is everything is so cheap to replace...

Does anybody here know if the 101 Landys use Series running gear, diffs, gear boxs etc etc or are they all unique parts to the 101s? I'm interested in one but am wanting to find out what would happen when I bust it. Will getting parts be difficult and expensive? Thanks, Adam

wicked, I thought there were only 2 gear box mounts but it was to wet to go look underneath :p

I had a look on the net at worked out it would lower my revs down to about 3100 at 70mph which would make it so much nicer to drive with it being a 200tdi :) So the unit come off as one and then I need to smack the nut off to enable me to get the drive gear (that goes between OD and Gbox) out...

I've found a Series 3 in a scrap yard with over drive, I want the OD for my 200tdi series 3 :) What tools do I need and how do I go about getting it off in its entireity so it will just slot straight on to mine. Also anyone know what it alters the ratio to? Thanks, Adam

Yer I know a 90 bend isn't ideal but I thought as the pipe is as big a bore as the turbo outlet and theres no silencers to hinder flow it wouldn't really hurt much :p Watching that video back I can't help but think it's got a bit of a missfire when revving up, most noticeable at 21 and 25...

Ahh see now that is why I asked, I never thought of that! :D Good plan!

You'll need to be handy at bodging to make it fit for cheap :) And it helps if you have various bits of pipe laying around to make up exhausts, intercooler hoses etc. I've had a few Saab turbo engines around the place so it helped that I had a good selection of intercooler pipes to rob...

The standard heaters are pure **** :) I took out the motor and matrix to give me some more room when fitting the 200tdi engine, the air box is where the matrix/ blower motor used to be. Problem is winters hitting pretty fast now and I'm getting cold :p I've read a bit about them in car...

Is this with a 200tdi? I've got a 200tdi in my Series 3 and i know the pipe isn't the right thickness, I'm hoping it's losing me some power so I get an increase when I sort it out :D Is the exhaust the same thickness from turbo outlet back to the tail pipe?

I've had enough of the piddly little half windows on my Series 3 and want to fit Defender doors with the full wind down windows. Is it just a case of bolting them on or do I need to swap bits over? Ad
